Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't been posting in my LJ about Japan. I'm now here in a dorm in Saitama, Chuo, Wakoshi, off the Fukutoshin line, and going to school in Shinjuku near Shinjuku San-Chome train station on the first level of Japanese, which is easy for me.
Today I bought a phone, and if you're not already aware, phones in japan receive calls for free. If you use SkypeOut, or some other way that you can afford, you can call me. PLEASE keep in mind that, for example, from Eastern Time, you must change the AM to PM and add an hour to learn what time it is here in Japan. So just don't call me when I'm sleeping from about midnight to 7am my time. My number in Japan is (080)356 21023.
I love hearing from all of my friends and family so much, and please, if there's anything anyone would like from Japan, please ask me. And my cell phone e-mail is GIR@softbank.ne.jp if anyone wants to email that I can receive it at any time.

| | Orgy - Blue Monday | ] | Wee! guilwolfie is here in Boston! From a former bi-sexual, he is adorable and well-mannered. I'd love to see what his room looks like! He seems to like the area, and has posted about it in his LJ, so anyone may be welcome to read it.
Ten, fl0e, and Hulex just left for home today. Anime Boston was great for making fun of cosplays and stuff, but otherwise it was honestly very uneventful. I regret not taking watermagequu to the rave like I told her I would. Speaking of Monique...
She's moved in. :) We decided that, since we were taking Hulex's SUV to Boston, we may be able to fit everything in. Which we did! $15, a roll of duct-tape, bungee cables, and a roll of gorilla tape later we had all of her plastic bins full of her things (most of her stuff) strapped to the roof of the car. I'm proud to say I drove all the way to Boston. Everyone started chanting "Dad," in reference to me. lol.
That's what's up! I'm now watching Saw V with Monique, eating dark chocolate brownies, and my room is spick and span clean. I vacuumed, ran the dishwasher twice, did my laundry, etc. Things are good and I look forward to Monique getting a job and things working out while I'm in Japan.
With that said, anyone interested, come visit Monique & I! Or just Monique over the summer while I'm gone. :) |

| | Muse - Citizen Erased | ] | Hey guys! Boy I haven't written in here a while. When I have free time, I like to write about happy events in my life on my journal. However as of recent, I've just been too busy with things, and haven't bothered much to post on my journal. Sorry for those of you that want to know what I'm up to!
Let's get on with it. My last final is tomorrow, and I (approximately) know my grades. EMT (7 credits) - B+ or so, practical exam is june 20th so we're still meeting to practice that. English Tutoring Seminar (3 credits) - B? A? I don't know, professor doesn't share much. Still need to turn in my case study. Anatomy and Physiology II (4 credits) - Should be an A. Got a 100% on the practical final on Tuesday. Today may be the last time I see Dr. Greenwalde, I'm going to ask him about working as a Teaching Aid with BU but I won't get my hopes up. He's been teasing me about that this whole year, ugh.
It's not so good, if I pull these B's, as I've recently joined Alpha Kappa Mu, an honor society at my school. AKM is a subdivision of something like Phi Theta Kappa. I don't know. I just did it because they advertise scholarships, so hopefully I'll take good advantage of that. They did charge me $50 to join, cheeky hoes. Anyway, my GPA will go down from a 3.7 to a 3.4 or so. Who knows.
Oh! What I haven't shared with Livejournal!!! Waaaay back I think in December, I started applying to my school's study abroad program, which involved writing a paper, and then if accepted past that point (most people aren't), going to an interview, and all along competing with other candidates. Anyway, I did it just to take a shot, wrote honestly that I had no formal education in Japanese, and... won...
All the time I knew it was expensive, and yes, believe it or not, it is expensive! The trip is an 8-week program at KCP University in Tokyo, Japan. It's a "Intensive (submersive) Language Learning and Cultural Experience," program, worth 7 credits. The trip total costs about $11,500, and my scholarship pays for 80% of that, and reimburses me for airfare. As of today, I've ordered my plane ticket from June 23rd-August 27th (program ends August 13th, however I plan on staying two additional weeks with the other kid from my school going to Japan with me and Monique.) for $1,050, have gotten my passport, and put down I think it was $200 that my Aunt & Uncle in Wisconsin were so kind to provide me.
Way back, I had put up a whole thing on my LJ profile asking/pleading for money, and it's still there if anyone wants to read it to see what I wrote way back then, or give me funds for my trip. As of this point, my father does not have the 20% I need (about $2,000) in order to go on this trip, however I have faith one of his patients will pay him and he will be able to provide for me like he originally intended.
So yeah, I'm going to Japan to hang out with those Japanese peoples, hopefully Swine Flu doesn't hold me back, or money, God help me. Monique will be coming and staying with me and then we'll be heading back to Boston together, where at that point we'll have been living together in Boston for 5 weeks, although the plan is for her to live and work there while I'm in Japan. I'm hoping things work out well.
This weekend I'm off to New York to be with Monique until she's done with school, then we're coming back up in time for Anime Boston with fl0e and Hulex, whatever his LJ username is. I'm excited!
(Brandon, please go easy with any negativity or neutrality in your response to this post. I could use hearing something positive from you, in fact I really miss it. I know why you're always negative and neutral, and it does nothing but drill me to the core exactly as you intend. I'd prefer to live much happier, but as this is the way you act, fine. Just go easy on this post.) |

| | Collective Soul - All That I Know | ] | Hey everyone. Apparently my mother and best friend read this, I've been meaning to write in it for a while but haven't gotten around to it.
Here's Rob's news!
My Spring BHCC course schedule:
ENG Tutoring Seminar I Tue/Thur 11:30am-12:45am w/ Prof. Rosser Cool class, runs kind of boring although I won't have to deal with the class setup two times a week for much longer. Starting next week, we'll be meeting with students on our own schedule, as tutors. I'm looking forward to it!
Anatomy & Physiology II Tue/Thur 2:30pm-5:00pm w/ Prof. Greenwalde Same as last semester, classmates are as lame as ever in that they do not want to discuss, study, or even do their homework. I love the class anyway, my favorite subject by far. I may or may not still get a job as TA with B.U. thanks to my professor next year.
Emergency Medical Technician Tue/Thur 6:00pm-10:00pm w/ Carl Weinstein I love this class! It's great. Although there is no personal relationship between professor and student or student and student, this class is fun material and I look forward to obtaining work as an EMT ASAP afterward.
Other News: I've started Isotretinoin, a.k.a. Accutane, from the company Claravis. It's a drug meant to reduce acne. Side-effects I've shown are dehydration, psoriasis, eczema, and sore joints (my ankles). In addition, I've been permanently on male PMS. What this means is, I have highs and lows, not too many mid-line feelings. With that in mind, I've told all my friends and family, everyone knows, you should know, try not to stress me out. In addition to work, school, and the copious amounts protruded by tulan's eminence, it's really hard for me to deal with stress. My doctor telling me it's worth $1,500 a month, and that my insurance is covering it completely hasn't helped me to feel like a materialistic sponge at all.
For a while, I've harbored feelings for Monique, or watermagequu. I originally met her at FurFright of '07, started the long distance relationship as of FurFright '08, and for about a year from now I've been seeing her consistently as our schedules allow. I've had a lot of thoughts about her since I first met her, however, the distance has always been mitigating my feelings. Despite the distance, I hope things continue to work out for us as best possible, and we both continue to do as well in school as we're able.
So, I love all of you, hope you're doing well too, and don't think that I haven't been reading your livejournals as well! -Rob |

| | TheAdvantage-Castlevania3Medley | ] | Man, what's happening in Boston? This morning, I found not one, but TWO people I knew in my commute to school. Getting on I noticed Akihiro-san from my baseball team, had a short conversation in Japanese and he left at the GSU.
Then, I saw (I forget his name) from Furfright, who I also saw at Pride, getting off at Park Street. We briefly said hello.
Yesterday, I saw my ex-girlfriend naroclie's best friend's ex-boyfriend, uh, Glod. He stopped me in the street and we had a conversation.
God, it's like I'm a real person or something. Not to mention, I saw eselgeist exactly where I saw Glod sometime recently. ;D
So last Friday I lectured in Anatomy and Physiology. Since, I've been telling all my friends how excited I was about it. Man, I got a 110/110 on yesterday's quiz, and a 100/100 on today's practical involving bones. I'm doing well. Now all I need to do is work on factoring in math. D; |

Wee! I had an outrageous blast staying with watermagequu and her family for 2 days and 3 nights. Her family gets along incredibly well, they're all very hippy-happy due to her mom's very charismatic presence, and it shows pretty well. I was just overall impressed with that. I'm very happy Quu is getting herself into gear for school, I hope she does well and enjoys doing it. I also really enjoyed her mom treating me to short lectures on certain anatomy or operations in medicine. It's great to converse about, I only really do that with my dad over the phone.
Uhh, Long Island seems to have terrible drivers. lol. Also I never got to see floethegreat or xscarredonex and her bull. :C That sux. Maybe next time. I'm tentative likely to make my second Furfright with Quu and that Sambito applecat guy.
My dental implant is slowly coming along.. I'm really anxious to have that done and over with ASAP, as everytime I stop to reflect on my own life right now, it hurts to think of how it's socially, personally and emotionally affecting me. So I've been avoiding people, events, and journals entirely or partially, not acting normally hypertentious or excited around others, and always incredibly embarrassed about the denture I have to wear. As soon as I can, I'm going to be looking into having my wisdom teeth removed and bleaching treatment. Only the first will be covered by insurance, so we'll see how I can afford that. (Obviously, I cannot. fsffhsafhshfhfg MONEY.)
My birthday was 2 days ago, nothing eventful happened at all. I received most all of my birthday wishes through phone early in the day and then through facebook, that was about it. I'm 20 now, no big difference. I'll feel a lot better emotionally once I start school again in a few weeks. As far as gifts were concerned, I got an awkward $10 I don't know what to think about, $100 my mom paid me back of child support I loaned my father to pay her (what), and some delicious pizza and ice cream tulan brought home.
I'd like to take this paragraph to say: tulan, thank you.. =) |

Friday's my birthday! I hope I'll have fun turning 20, it's not the best age in any way at all, especially after how equally lame becoming 19 is!
So, maybe I'll see some people. Maybe some of you people.
Have fun everyone! School's not that far away. >-> |
